Every warehouse, commissary and store branch holds its own stock. An item exists once in your catalogue, but its quantity is tracked separately at each site, so "we have 40" is always answerable with "where?". A live inventory snapshot shows the full picture across locations in one view.
Each location can also carry its own selling price and its own reorder point, which matters when a mall branch and a neighbourhood store do not price or move the same way.
A branch that needs stock raises a request rather than phoning someone. It goes through approval, and on approval the quantity is reserved at the source so two branches cannot be promised the same goods.
A transfer moves goods out of one location and into another, either against an approved stock request or directly when no request preceded it. Both sides of the movement are recorded, so stock is never in two places or nowhere.
Count discrepancies, spoilage and breakage are booked as adjustments with a reason, never by quietly overwriting a number. Every adjustment names who made it and when.
Nothing changes stock invisibly. Orders, transfers, receipts, adjustments and production all leave a record you can trace back — which is what makes a variance investigation possible instead of a guessing game.
Items import from a spreadsheet, so you are not typing a thousand products by hand. Each item carries its unit, packing quantity, barcode, department, category and subcategory, plus per-supplier pricing.
